Realistic Games with 3D Satellite Photos

Years ago I had an idea for city building games.

What if we could just create a game city based on existing cities? At that time Open Street Map overage was just starting. But you could probably generate some cities using generic tile sets. Roads are easy, then green tiles for parks, factory tiles for industrial districts etc.

And what if we could use real satellite images for games like flight or train simulators?

It is May 2023 and Google has announced their release of photorealistic 3D tiles. Do you see potential of that for realistic games?
